It would seem that many Italian coastal areas lately have problems that should not be underestimated.
Also this year, especially after the end of various restrictions caused by the health emergency, the Italians, as we have seen, in general, we can say that they have not given up on holidays.
Or, at least, if you like, a few days that they agreed. And so, there are those who chose the mountains and there are those who, of course, wanted to sunbathe on a golden beach.
In short, according to estimates, it seems that in the Bel Paese many have packed their bags for these warm months and have reached the most disparate tourist destinations.
But, as far as the coastal areas are concerned, it seems that recently an alert has been given precisely for a certain type of beach.
We are referring precisely to what Legambiente recently reported in the Beaches Report 2021. This is, in particular, an account of what is happening in maritime areas.
The study, indeed, shed light on the situation today, painting a rather worrying picture. In fact, the main theme is precisely that of free beaches which, nowadays, would be decidedly lacking.
From what resulted, therefore, that the coastal zones, for more than fifty percent of the Italian territory, are dedicated to the bathing establishments, to the detriment, therefore, of the free places.
What are you worried about
In fact, the main reason is that the concessions have increased considerably, and whose number last year even exceeded twelve thousand structures.

Thus, this condition concerns many regions of Italy, such as, for example, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Campania, Abruzzo and others.
But that’s not all, because the aforementioned environmental association has even complained of a certain erosion of Italian beaches. In truth, this is a problem that would affect nearly 50% of sandy shores.
This could therefore be the result of the much-dreaded climate crisis that is much talked about at this time. Last but not least, there is also frequently the non-negligible problem of pollution which concerns more than 7% of the coasts.

In this regard, it will therefore be necessary to try to find a solution to this state of affairs which, obviously, should be changed.
