Planned Parenthood Advocate: Fetal Dismemberment Is a “Humane Procedure”

This simply has to be heard to be believed.  During yesterday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing on Planned Parenthood’s practices, Priscilla Smith, Director of Yale Law School’s Program for the Study of Reproductive Justice, was asked by Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) whether she felt a dilation and extraction abortion procedure, during which an unborn child may have its limbs torn off while still alive, was “a humane way to die.”  Smith’s answer was astounding:

SMITH: I believe for a fetus—a pre-viable fetus—yes, a “d and e” [dilation and extraction] procedure is a very humane procedure, and it protects the woman and her health and safety more than any other procedure.  And in fact, it was substituted for the saline—

REP. GOODLATTE: Ms. Smith, I’m going to reclaim my time and just say that—I have to say that your view of humanity and mine are different.

Add “humane” to the list of words that have completely lost their meaning for those on the Left.
